1998 Audi A6 Avant, Interior

The Audi A6 Avant with its three equal-value decor lines, which differ only in terms of visuals and materials, satisfies this trend. The Audi interior concept with its Advance, Ambition and Ambiente decors offers the customer a means of combining the exterior and interior in a manner aimed at creating a consistent overall impression. These decor lines all cost the same and have no effect on the choice of functional elements, equipment and engines. Each of them has its own individual character and differs in terms of the texture and appearance of the upholstery and the surface finish of the aluminium trim. For each style a specific type of leather is available at extra charge in different colours which, in a manner similar to the fabrics, can be combined with a selection of matching wood trims.

2004 Interior Audi A8

The driver-oriented overall design of the driving area that is a characteristic of all A8 versions is a notable feature of the interior. The central architectural features are the rising centre console – reminiscent of a sports car – incorporating the MMI terminal, with its retractable display in the instrument panel.
The MMI and the absence of a conventional handbrake lever pave the way for the neat, expansive design of both the centre console and the instrument panel.
The smooth transition between the instrument panel and the top shoulder is another feature that is typical of Audi. This line, structured by a two-section trim insert, continues back into the rear compartment, creating a new ambience.
